Producer Peter Engel Passes Away at 88

Sad news for the entertainment world today. Peter Engel, best known for producing the his teen series Saved By the Bell, has died. He was 88 years old.

His family confirmed his death via the media, but did not reveal a cause of death.

In addition to SBTB, the iconic producer worked on shows such as Last Comic Standing, California Dreams, Good Morning Miss Bliss and Hang Time. He also penned the memoir I Was Saved by the Bell: Stories of Life, Love, and Dreams That Do Come True in 2016.
