Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage Recap for Working for the Enemy
Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage opens with Jim and Georgie debating on American tires vs. Korean tires. Jim likes Michelin tires, which Audrey points out are French. Jim says they don’t know that and continues to debate with Georgie.
Mandy changes the subject to the OJ Simpson trial and how she thought the glove was going to fit. Connor points out it didn’t.
That night, Mandy and Georgie continue to talk about tires, even though she wants sexy time. He says he can think of two things at once and they kiss.
Jim is complaining to Georgie to Audrey, who seemingly takes Georgie’s side. Jim is confused, so she just kisses him goodnight.
The next day at work, Jim is mad that Georgie got the tires that he didn’t want, albeit on consignment. Ruben is happy about this fight, so Jim takes Georgie to the office, where they continue fighting. Jim says he can fire him, so Georgie says he will quit and go where he is appreciated. Ruben bids him farewell.
Dinner that night is tense, which Connor points out, causing him to get shushed by Audrey. Mandy and Audrey talk about CeeCee cutting molars and try to get the men to make up. However, Jim and Georgie continue to fight, causing everyone to get involved and talk about family members who don’t talk. Connor wonders what happened to Aunt Denise.
Later on, Mandy and Georgie fight about the situation with Jim. He thinks he will get a new job soon and give her everything she wants, including the tire pool with a hot tub in the middle.
The next day, Georgie goes to a rival tire shop, where he impresses the owner and gets a job. The men bond, especially when the owner finds out he is Jim’s son-in-law….and Georgie finds out that the owner used to date Audrey. He tells him about the experience and how it drove Jim crazy and that Georgie should come back the next day.
Georgie goes home to tell Mandy about the job. Mandy looks at Audrey’s old yearbook and sees that they were a sweet, serious couple. They also learn that his name is Freddy and the reason behind the Lil’ Hickey name he gave Audrey.
When Georgie leaves for work in his uniform, Mandy creates a distraction in order to diffuse a fight. However, Jim and Audrey find out and things become awkward. Georgie leaves as Connor comes in and comments on the tension in the room.
At Jim’s shop, he gives Ruben a job to do, but Ruben wants to discuss a raise. He gets shut down and proceeds to annoy Jim.
At home, Mandy and Audrey bond over CeeCee and discuss the situation with the guys. Mandy wants Audrey to talk to Freddy and lets her know that she knows about the Lil’ Hickey situation. Audrey tells Mandy about what happened and how the guys fought over her, creeping Mandy out.
Audrey goes to visit Freddy, who wants to reminisce on their past. Freddy drinks and makes fun of Jim. Audrey asks him to fire Georgie, but Freddy keeps trying to get back with Audrey. She calls him a dog, but he won’t budge. She leaves and runs into Georgie, who is confused. He goes to talk to Freddy about it, while Freddy talks about Audrey’s past. Georgie doesn’t like this and quits.
Mandy is not happy about this, but Georgie says he was protecting and defending his family/
Jim comes home late and says the tires Georgie got sold out, causing them to become busier. Aufrey gets him to admit Georgie was right.
Jim goes into the living room, where Georgie, Mandy and Connor are watching TV. Georgie and Jim talk while the other two go into the kitchen, with Connor making them speak up so he can hear. The men come to an agreement while Mandy and Connor offer commentary from the kitchen.
At the diner, Mandy is serving several tables alone, while Audrey and Jim comment on her hard work. Freddy talks in and shows off his new lady friend Diana. The men go head to head about their competition, until Freddy bests Jim and leaves….as the episode comes to a close.
