“We never knew we could experience a love like this,” the couple said in a joint statement provided by Luyendyk’s Manager, Klint Briney. “We cried, we laughed and we are so happy she is healthy and doing so well. It’s amazing to see this tiny person that is half of each of us. She has Dad’s hands and finger nails and lot of Mom’s facial features. We are still at the hospital, but we are excited to bring her home soon!”
Alessi weighs 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and is 20 inches long.
Arie began his journey headlining The Bachelor in January 2018. Following the season finale on After the Final Rose, Luyendyk proposed to Lauren in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles on March 6, 2018. The pair then announced their wedding date on ABC’s The View in May, confirming they would wed in Jan. 2019 in Hawaii. However, days before their Co-BACHELORette Party in Las Vegas in November, the duo announced they were expecting. A week before their wedding, they revealed they were having a girl. In front of around 100 guests at an old sugar mill in Maui, including Chris Harrison who officiated the wedding, the pair said “I do” on the afternoon of January 12, 2019. In late April 2019, the pair took a Babymoon to the British island territory in the North Atlantic Ocean known as Bermuda, before settling into their Arcadia home ahead of Lauren’s due date of June 4.
Luyendyk’s Manager, Klint Briney, confirmed the baby’s arrival. Both Mrs. Luyendyk and the baby are doing well.
