Happy’s Place Recap for 10/25/2024
Episode 2 of Happy’s Place deals with Bobbie and Isabella trying to work together at the tavern they now co-own while butting heads and dealing with interfering, albeit well-meaning co-workers. Here are the highlights of the episode:
-Melissa Peterman and Reba singing Danny Boy was not on my bingo card for this episode, but I loved it.
-The banter between Gabby and Bobbie gives serious Reba/Barbara Jean vibes.
-Isabella spraying beer on herself seems so on brand for her.
-The law doesn’t actually mean the law in Tennessee….it is a suggestion.
-Gnarly is apparently what old surfers say according to Dakota.
-Emmett playing opera to stop people from talking has the opposite when it comes to Isabella.
-Emmett seems like he is the voice of reason despite not caring or wanting to talk to people.
-Isabella thinks she is entitled to make decisions about the tavern, while Bobbie thinks she is entitled to keep things as is….so their answer is for Bobbie to take Isabella under her wing for a bussin’/gnarly experience.
-I am loving the banter between Gabby and Steve is probably my favorite thing about this show.
-Isabella recording herself taking notes on her phone is kind of annoying, but something tells me it will be important later.
-Steve reminds me of a hybrid of Monk and Sheldon Cooper.
-Emmett seems to know how to make Bobbie realize when she is wrong while still having her back.
-Bobbie finally lets her anger out and tells Isabella that she will treat her like a sister and support her in any way she can.
-Dakota is the best thing about this show. His one liners and stoic personality are a calming force in a sea of big personalities.
-I hope we hear Reba sing in every episode.
-It is actually very smart of Isabella to shadow everyone else in order to get to know the business.
-Isabella and Bobbie living together is going to bring the show in a whole new direction…..and Gabby wanting to join them will make it even better. (Is it wrong I hope this happens?)
