Bridgerton’s Rege-Jean Page OUT for Season Two
Sad news for Bridgerton fans. Rege-Jean Page, who played the role of Simon (Duke of Hastings) on the hit Netflix series, is leaving the show.
The news was confirmed on the show’s official Twitter page and by Netflix earlier today.
The statement began, “Dear Readers, while all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton [Jonathan Bailey]’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings. We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family. Daphne [Phoebe Dynevor] will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer – more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear. Yours truly, Lady Whistledown.”
The announcement came to a shock to the fans, who were looking forward to him coming back for another season.
