What is…We’re all pulling for you? Jeopardy’s longtime host Alex Trebek gave yet another health update today. While he has remained positive since his pancreatic cancer diagnosis earlier this year, the TV legend revealed that his time on TV may be coming to an end.
“I don’t know if I’m strong enough or intelligent enough to help alleviate some of that despair,” he said in a new Good Morning America interview. He also revealed that his skills are beginning to diminish and that it is playing a factor in his decision to stay on the show.
The 79 year old also revealed that he is hoping to live long enough to meet a grandchild. Alex is the father to Matthew and Emily, who are 29 and 26, respectively. He says that they, along with his wife Jean, have been a wonderful support system throughout his battle.
In a separate interview with CTV, he said he isn’t afraid of dying. . “I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life. I know that. I’m not going to delude myself. If it happens, why should I be afraid that?”
More information will come as it is available.
