The Amazing RaceThe Amazing Race
Franz Decides the Final Race Teams

CBS' The Amazing Race 15 continues in Prague, Czech Republic tonight as the field of teams is finally narrowed down to the final three. Brian and Erika were the last to arrive at the pit stop in last week's non-elimination leg and will receive a penalty speed bump tonight.

Previously the speed bumps have simply delayed the elimination of the teams unlucky enough to have to perform them. Is tonight the end of the race for Brian and Ericka or will the extra task strengthen their resolution to win at all costs, as long as they are nice about it?

As winners of the last leg of the race, Meghan and Cheyne are first to receive the next clue at 9:46 PM to travel across town to the Spanish Synagogue where they will find their next clue box. The clue there directs them to travel 4 miles to the outskirts of town to find the Ekotechnicke Museum where they will find the next clue box.

The Amazing RaceMeghan/ Cheyne are first to arrive at the clue box. Road block. "In order to obtain the impossible, one must be willing to attempt the absurd." Meghan decides to do this task. Phil explains that the existential author, Franz Kafka (born in Prague) rejected technology and questioned the meaning of life. He further explained that in this task one team member must enter the convoluted bureaucratic world called Kafka-esque. Racers will enter a room that contains dozens of desks and hundreds of ringing telephones, but only 5 of the phones have anyone on the other end. Each of the 5 people on the other end will reveal 1 letter that the racers will have to remember until they have received all 5 letters. The racer will then receive a special form where they will arrange the letters into the name Franz (we know this task is about Franz Kafka, but the racers don't) - when they do that, they will receive their next clue.

Meghan gets all of her letters and comes up with "Franz" on her second try. She receives the next clue telling them to travel to Kryocentrum to find their next clue.

Dan/ Sam arrive at the road block and see Meghan/ Cheyne running toward them. The brothers lean into their cab and tell their driver to wait for them and to not take Meghan/ Cheyne. He agrees. The driver agrees to call another cab for them.

Dan is doing the task and Sam encourages him to not become frustrated.

The Globetrotters arrive at the museum and Big Easy is doing it.

Dan submits his first guess and it's wrong.

The Amazing RaceMeghan/ Cheyne arrive at the Kryocentrum and receive their next clue. Phil explains that the center is in high demand by Czech athletes for the natural healing power of the cold temperatures found inside. Teams will strip down to barely more than their skivvies and enter a chamber that is maintained at -180 ° C (-292 °F). If they can stay in the room for 2 minutes, they will receive their next clue. Meghan/ Cheyne enter the chamber and a clock starts a 2 minute countdown.

Brian/ Ericka arrive at the museum and find the speed bump task. They must travel to the M 1 Lounge and then each perform a complicated 3 step process to make a traditional shot of absinthe, a green liqueur having a bitter licorice flavor and a high alcohol content, prepared from absinthe and other herbs, and prohibited in many countries because of its toxicity. After drinking the shots, the team will receive their next clue.

Dan and Big Easy are having trouble getting the right word at the museum and they agree to work together to get the right word.

Meghan and Cheyne's timer runs out and they receive their next clue to travel to the Charles Bridge which links the old and new sections of Prague where they must search for their next clue.

The Amazing RaceBrian and Ericka follow the bartender's lead as they make their shot and drink it. Brian doesn't drink alcohol so he did not relish this part of the task, but he did it. Neither liked the resulting drink. They received their clue and the patrons applauded as they ran out. They head for the museum.

Dan submits "Franz" and gets the thumbs up and his next clue. Dan turns to Big Easy and tells him the word starts with "F" but that's all he will say. Big Easy's eyes go wide and he repeats that that's all he's giving him. Big Easy is stunned as he says that he gave Dan all of his guesses. Dan says sorry and leaves. Dan explains to the camera with Sam by his side that they are in a race and he realized giving Big Easy the answer could be the biggest mistake he could make. As Dan runs out Flight Time tells him "Good Job", completely unaware that Dan just broke his word to Big Easy.

Brian/ Ericka arrive at the road block and Brian decides to do the task.

The Amazing RaceCheyne/ Meghan arrive at the bridge and find the clue box. Detour. Legend or Lager. In Legend, teams must construct a Golem statue of straw and hay. In Jewish folklore, a Golem was an artificially created human supernaturally endowed with life that protected  the Jewish quarters in the 15th century. Teams must cover a wooden statue with wet clay and then deliver the tall statue across town to the new Old Synagogue. If the rabbi is satisfied with their creation, he will give them their next clue. In Lager teams must deliver beer to rowdy soccer hooligans. Soccer is the most popular sport in Europe and in Prague, drinking beer is also considered a sport. Czech people drink more beer per capita than any other country in the world. Teams must carry 30 beers on trays from a brewery, through the busy town square and deliver them to patrons in a specified bar. Once they deliver all 30 beers, the bar tender will give them their next clue. Cheyne/ Meghan pick Legend.

The brothers arrive at the deep freeze task.

Brian gets the letters and Big Easy is still there. The ball player tells Brian he has been there for 2 1/2 hours. They confirm that they have the same letters.

The brothers come out from the cold and receive their next clue.

The Amazing RaceBrian realizes what the word is and is thrilled! Big Easy stands up and watches disheartened. Brian runs out whooping. Big Easy goes outside and talks to Flight Time and they decide to take the penalty for not completing the road block. Phil explains that when a team can not complete a road block, they receive a 4 hour penalty that must be served before they can continue with the race. They hope that they will be able to catch up with another team so they will be able to avoid being eliminated.

Cheyne/ Meghan finish their statue and head off in the dark to drag their statue across town to the synagogue.

Brian/ Ericka serve their time in the freezer and get their clue to go to the bridge.

The brothers are doing the statue too. They accidentally drop the statue and the arm breaks. They decide to patch the arm with clay. They finish and head out. The brothers are arguing over whether to drag the heavy statue with them or to first figure out where they are going. They flag down a taxi to tell them where they the synagogue is. A nearby clock shows that it is now 2:00 AM.

Brian/ Ericka decide to do Lager.

Cheyne/ Meghan arrive at the synagogue where the rabbi approves their state. They receive their clue to travel to Strelecky Ostrov, a small island next to the bridge and the pit stop for this leg of the race.

Cheyne/ Meghan arrive at the pit stop where Phil welcomes them as Team # 1. Phil congratulates them on being one of the 3 teams that will race in the final leg. As winners of this leg of the race they each receive a 52" LCD HD TV.

Dan evidently didn't eat any spinach because he's finding the statue too heavy to carry. Sam points out that Meghan did it and he just has to tough it out.

The Amazing RaceThe Globetrotters have 3 hours left on their penalty.

Ericka/ Brian are finding the mugs of beer to be heavy. When Brian pauses to set his tray down to redistribute the weight on his tray, he spills one of his mugs. Ericka immediately spills all of her mugs. She tells Brian that she can't do the task and begs him to change to the statues. He says no, it'll be ok, but Ericka disagrees and says she's not willing to do what it will take to succeed at the task. They continue down the street as drunks try to grab the drinks and the tray. They arrive at the bar with 6 drinks. They decide that slow and stead will win the race. They return to the brewery and deliver 13 more.

Dan and Sam finally decide to push the statue rather than pull/ drag it and they find that it goes much faster. They arrive at the synagogue and they receive their next clue to travel to the pit stop.

The Amazing RaceBrian/ Ericka are carrying their final 11 drinks.

Phil welcomes Sam/ Dan as Team # 2.

The sun rises as Flight Time/ Big Easy's penalty runs out. They receive their clue to travel to the freezer.

It's daylight as Brian/ Ericka arrive at the pit stop. Phil welcomes them as Team # 3. They are shocked that they made it to the final 3. They acknowledge that they have made a number of screw-ups and that they will have to work smarter in the final leg.

The Amazing RaceWe see the Globetrotters arrive at the freezer and it seems as though the pit stop is outside of that door that has the clue for them to travel to the pit stop. We see a montage that revisits the highs and lows of the ball players' time on the race as the theme music for the Globetrotters plays in the background. They arrive at the mat where Phil tells them that they are the last team to arrive and that they are eliminated from the race.

The pair feel that their relationship was strengthened by the experience and that they will hopefully be playing together for he next 20 years, and if not, then they will be friends for the rest of their lives. They tell Phil that they didn't win the $1,000,000, but the experience was priceless.

Next week on the season finale of The Amazing Race teams travel to the end city, Las Vegas where teams give it everything they have left as they experience the highs (rappelling down a building), the lows (dangling in a sling unable to move as they want), and the King (Elvis impersonator in a wedding chapel) as they race to be first to the finish mat and the check for $1,000,000.
