Hello and welcome to the season finale of Dancing With The Stars! Tonight the entire case will reunite and the winner of season nine will finally be crowned.
The thirteen eliminated couples descend down the stairs and greet the three finalists. Kelly gets lots of hugs and kisses from everyone and there is a lot of high fiving going on. During the recap of last night there is a technical error, so we go to commercial. OK, error fixed! We go back to the recap and then to Whitney Houston’s new single “Million Dollar Bill.” She has her own dancers and I must admit, as much as I love our pros, these guys are GOOD! Aww, Dionne Warwick was there to hug her! Jeff Ross, Kenny Mayne and Penn Jillette talk about the Loser’s Club and Jeff inducts Ashley Hamilton with a jacket and a speech. Jeff looks fantastic. Ashley and Edyta then dance—ironically to Simply The Best—Jeff cuts in and they both dance with her. The routine ends with their shirts being ripped open. We get a flashback of the first few weeks of competition and it is pretty amazing to see all these moments. I loved each and every one of them. Kathy and Tony dance next, along with Macy and Jonathan and Debi and Maks. After some talk about injuries and the flu, we see Miss Piggy get a massage from a topless Maks. I’ve never been jealous of a muppet before today. My life has officially hit a new level of pathetic. Tom and Cheryl take on the Texas Two Step. I have a feeling had he not gotten hurt, he would have gotten to the top five for sure! He is excited that he had the chance to do it. We get more montages before Chuck and Mark take on the stage with their partners for a dance off. It is actually very cute and fun to watch. Samantha asks them who will win in a fight and they all agree it will be Lacey! Coach Adam Corolla has hit boot camp with the contestants and everyone except Donny walk out. Cute, but enough filler! I want results! Natalie and Alec dance, and then we get more fun moments from the show before Melissa and Mark take the stage. The judges put in their two cents about the finalists before they are introduced again. Kelly and Louis take one last look back on their journey before they reprise their Viennese Waltz. It is even better and more mesmerizing than it was the last time their did it. I don’t think anyone has ever gotten this much of a reaction---people chanting her name, cheering, jumping up and down. Len gives her kind words but it is hard to hear with all the cheering. Bruno calls her a ballroom princess. Carrie Ann tearfully tells her she has come a long way. Mya and Dmitry also take a trip down memory lane. They choose to reprise their jive. Does anyone know the name of this song so I can download it? Please and thank you. Very nice dance overall. Bruno screams over how much he likes it. Carrie Ann calls her a star. Len says she is fantastic. Donny and Kym get their own montage (awww, Kym is an honorary Osmond!) and reprise their Argentine tango. It is very good and possibly even better this time around. Donny looks like he isn’t sure if he is scared or happy. Carrie Ann calls it a showstopper. Len says he finished strong. Bruno gushes over how good it was. Scores: 3rd place—Kelly and Louis with 26 points. 2nd place is Mya and Dmitry with 28 points and in 1st place with 30 points is Donny and Kym. Louie and Chelsie dance to ‘Puppy Love’ which of course is sung by Donny Osmond—live. It begins as a romantic waltz and then remixes into a jive—complete with snowboarding moves. I LOVE IT!!!! YAY FOR A STANDING OVATION!!! Samantha teases them about dating and they talk about how they all bring their own style to the finals. Michael and Anna D. face off with a paso doble against Jerry Rice and Anna T. to the Monday Night Football theme. Didn’t Jason Taylor do his paso doble to this? It was awesome, but I think Jerry owned it. The winner of the mirrorball ring is Michael for dancing and Jerry for having a better body. All righty then. Miss Piggy beats up Samantha Harris! No, I’m not drinking or on anything, this really did happen, I swear. Aaron and Karina reprise their Muppet quickstep. Aw, the two old men are there and compare themselves to Len---I never thought of that before! It’s true! Cloris tells Miss Piggy she doesn’t want to get swine flu while Jerry Springer says he doesn’t eat pork. The Woz says she is cute. Joanna jokes that she hopes she can do as well as they did. More flashbacks. Corky and Cloris, Joanna and Derek, Jerry and Edyta and The Woz and Karina dance in their own Mambo dance off. Cloris and Corky are knocked out first, followed by Jerry and Edyta and The Woz and Karina, declaring Derek and Joanna the winners. Whitney sings I Wanna Dance With Somebody while several of the pros accompany her. The entire thing is awesome, welcome back Whitney! FINALLY! RESULTS!!!! Third place is---Kelly and Louis. She thanks America for the support as everyone cheers her on. Tom says he always looked forward to seeing her. THE WINNER IS………DONNY AND KYM! AWWWW, he brought his wife out!!!! And my Kym, aka the blonde version of my sister finally won!!!!!! (anyone who knows either of them knows this is an incredibly high compliment for both of them.) Awwwwww, hugs and tons of Osmonds!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!! He’s sharing with his sister!!!! How awesome is that? That is it for this season of Dancing with the Stars. Join us next season for more dancing, drama and tons of glitter. Goodnight all. -- www.ballroomdancechannel.com www.sammi924.societyskincare.com
