Well, what did you think? I was so ready for a full blown makeover show and have to admit, I was disappointed that we got a condensed version. It just felt like they were rushing them through their time with Tim and Tabatha, rushing through the family reunion (which is my favorite part), rushing through the introductions to the audience then condensing their speeches to a couple of lines. Oh well, guess delaying the start of the show by 30 minutes left a lot of the good bits on the cutting room floor. Past seasons we got to see them share a little time with family before the transition back to the ranch and into the competition. Note to the Biggest Loser powers-that-be, please don't condense the makeover show - we (well at least I do) wait the whole season to see the reality of their accomplishments and their family reactions. And what a surprise - Rudy really shocked me at how secretive he is. I didn’t have a clue that he had such deep-seeded trust issues with Rebecca… did I sleep through something? Now that I think about it, wasn’t it Rudy who suckered Shay into thinking they had some sort of “deal” on the jumping through hoops competition? I had no idea he was playing the game as hard as he seems to be… I know said he was upset that she spent so much time with the Black Team, but I didn't have a clue - I'm thinking it was just an excuse to justify his vote for her to leave. Doesn't shock me though that he voted her out - could it be that she condemned herself with the argument that Liz had been below the yellow line three times and she (Rebecca) hadn't been below the line even once.... Psst, Rebecca, what were you thinging? Contestants are seen as a threat if they consistently stay above the yellow line. Falling below the line three times makes Liz less of a threat and could sway the vote her way. Not a good thing to bring to their attention when you're sitting in the hot seat!
Coming up Tuesday, November 24 on the Biggest Loser Second Chance. Suze Orman will be on the show to talk to the contestants about the connection between health and wealth. And of course, it's Thanksgiving week which, in addition to turkey, means football! We will be treated to Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, who has played for the Steelers, 49ers, Ravens and Raiders. He will lead an NFL challenge which will involve all the weight each of them has lost so far this season. And the weigh-in winner will get an at-home visit from Chef Curtis Stone to show them how to cook healthy meals after they return from the ranch. If you can't watch the show because your week is just too busy, we'll be here to give your the highlights!
