GLEEGLEE
A Sticky Situation
Wednesday 9/9c on FOX

Mr. Schuester splits the Glee Club into pairs to sing their favorite ballad, but when one kid gets sick, he’s forced to step in and winds up in a sticky situation. Meanwhile, Finn and Quinn have to face the music when dinner with her parents (guest stars Gregg Henry and Charlotte Ross) goes awry in the all-new “Ballad” episode of GLEE airing Wednesday, Nov. 18 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Glee

GLEE, the genre-defying new musical comedy series, follows an optimistic teacher who – against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach – attempts to save McKinley High’s Glee Club from obscurity while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential. Starring Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz, GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante Di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.

GLEE’S “DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’” GOES GOLD

BLOCKBUSTER SERIES’ MUSIC SURPASSES 2 MILLION DOWNLOADS AS SOUNDTRACK HITS STORES NOVEMBER 3

In yet another sign that Glee has gone from smash comedy hit to cultural phenomenon, the cast’s rendition of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’“ has just been certified Gold for digital sales in excess of 500,000 downloads, and to date, over two million Glee songs have been purchased online. Seven songs from Glee now occupy spots in the top 200 of iTunes’ Top Songs chart and Newsweek recently observed that the FOX series’ “rabid online fanbase has given the show’s music a life of its own.” It’s this fervor for the music that prompted the New York Times to say “from ‘Cabaret’ to Kanye, Songs of ‘Glee’ are a hit” and the Los Angeles Times to add “this comedy has become music to our ears.”

On Tuesday, November 3, Glee: The Music, Volume 1 hits stores.  This highly anticipated debut soundtrack will feature 17 songs heard in Glee’s first season (see below for full track listing).  Glee has set itself apart as one of the few scripted television shows to feature music so prominently and successfully. Entertainment Weekly recently stated that Glee was able to accomplish this “by making music so catchy and addictive, it’s taken on a life – and revenue stream – of its own.” They also went on to proclaim “the snarky, theatrical series is a cult phenomenon on its way to becoming a national obsession.”

The full track listing for “Glee: The Music, Volume 1” is as follows:

   1. “Don’t Stop Believin’”
   2. “Can’t Fight This Feeling”
   3. “Gold Digger”
   4. “Take a Bow”
   5. “Bust Your Windows”
   6. “Taking Chances”
   7. “Alone”
   8. “Maybe This Time”
   9. “Somebody to Love”
  10. “Hate On Me”
  11. “No Air”
  12. “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”
  13. “Keep Holding On”
  14. “Bust a Move”
  15. “Sweet Caroline”
  16. “Dancing with Myself”
  17. “Defying Gravity”
