CBS' The Amazing Race heads for Groningen, The Netherlands Sunday with the six teams remaining in the race around the world. One team shares a secret with the other teams and worry about how that will affect them. When Ericka and Brian fall behind in a challenge, Ericka reaches the breaking point when they must face the possibility of elimination. The Globetrotters take a scenic tour of the countryside as they bicycle to a challenge that requires them to dress in native attire and learn a  traditional dance.

Last week's elimination of Canaan and Mika means that the Amazing Race has reached the halfway point. In terms of geography, they have traveled west from California, through Asia, the Middle East, and are arriving in Europe.  With two legs in Vietnam and two stops in the United Arab Emirates it feels a little like we are not seeing as much of the world as we typically have in previous seasons. The challenges have not felt as interesting - how can you compare rolling a wheel of cheese with looking for a woman in a market who is wearing a twin to a scarf the racers are given? Riding down a waterslide as a challenge? OK, that one might not be fair because it did directly lead to the elimination of Mika and Canaan - but riding down a waterslide as a challenge in a race that is worth $1,000,000 to the winner? I have to wonder if this Emmy award winning show will lose its crown after this season.
