Kate is very smart in making sure that her less than admirable qualities aren't exposed on tv or in the tabloids anyomre than they alreday have been. However,viewers who have tuned into J&K+8 over the years already know what she is really like...domineering, condescending, bossy, impatient and self-centered. This upcoming interview will be just another rehashing of the poor abandoned wife and mother routine. Kate has nobody but herself to blame for why Jon walked away. But his behavior since the split has made it obvious that she is lucky to be rid of him. She's simply looking for as much exposure as she can get because the filming (and BIG paychecks) have come to an end.

Well, Career person and grandmother of 9, why don't you share your great insight and wisdom with us? And, as for not "knowing anything about life", what an idiotic remark to make. You don't know what I do for a living, how old I am, what trials I've experienced in my personal and business life. If that were the best comment I could make, I would have just kept my mouth shut. It's become all too commonplace in this country to make a derogatory comment about someone when you disagree rather than give a well thought out rebuttal. That comes from being fed all the drivel from the press and politicians and not thinking for oneself.

It absolutely boggles my mind as to why NBC is interviewing Kate.
At this point, she will belabor the point about how difficult it is to be a single mother, she gets lonely, etc... How does that make her any different than we other single mothers? Also, with all the traveling that she does, speaking engagements, and the fact that she loves being on camera, where does that leave the kids. I have a feeling that the kids truly do love to have the camera people around as a huge diversion from their mother. Reality and life are going to smack both Jon and Kate in the face fairly soon and both of them will be living in close proximity to one another and also to the kids... which is what they need.
I still can't wrap my head around the bodyguard thing- who does Kate think is going to "get her"? That's a whole other story which will come to light. I feel very sorry for both parents as they have lost their compass in terms of parenting.

If TCL has hired NBC, then NBC is not in complete control of production. TLC will have the ultimate "editing" rights.

I'm already well aware of "Kate's Story." She purposely had 8 children in order to exploit them.

Why oh why in the world do we need to hear Kate's story- again???
For crying out loud. It's a divorce between two people who didn't see eye to eye and who really gives a rip as to what happened? The most damning thing for Kate is her deplorable behavior on episodes too numerous to count. She's definitely having a perpetual pity party that is indeed getting old. Same with Jon. These people are no different than anyone else. There are no winners in divorce. The judge will decide what's what and then that's the end of it. Neither parent wants to be a parent full time, so what's the problem? For Kate to ramble on one more time in her "soft quiet tone" is really to much for many of us to bear. There are Kate lovers and there are people who can't quite grasp what she's up to other than a pity party than just won't end.
She really better be ready for the judge!

Kate has been so well coached by the TLC people that I doubt we are going to hear the REAL answers. She is not that smart, says "UM" every other word and has perfected calmly lying through her teeth. Jon shares 50% custody, she DOES NOT do it all alone and they have more helpers in that house than Santa Claus. The show needs to end. Every time the ratings drop TLC stirs up the pot with leaks to the tabloids. They feed on dysfunction and this is unhealthy for those kids.

MONEY. It's all about money: money for Kate, money for TLC and money for the struggling network NBC.

Remember when TLC was "The LEarning Channel"? Remember when NBC was a respected news organization? Remember when Kate was a real mom early on in the specials?

MONEY. The children are lost in the quest for MONEY.

Yep, their gonna keeping shoveling this cr*p down our throats whether we want to see or not. NBC has lost complete credibility -- selling their souls to the highest bidder(TLC). No wonder their ratings are in the tank!

Kate Gosselin pimps her children for financial gain. This so called "interview" is a staged event for TLC to try and make something acceptable out of a fame whoring pig. I have news for NBC, it can't be done. The woman is beyond disgusting.

Petty? What is petty about the concern of 8 young kids whose parents have decided to exploit them for years on a television show, then when one pulls the plug, we get to see them hurt their kids further by a weekly "he said, she said" via the TV, internet and tabloid magazine? I can't watch a entertainment news program or the regular news without these two coming up. I can't sign into the internet without seeing these two on my "news" wheel, I can't grocery shop without seeing them on the freakin' cover of every magazine at the check out counter, so for you to state "Perhaps you should just stop reading or watching if it bothers you all that much" is a ridiculous statement. These two "parents" want to do anything and everything but be one. They are constantly flying around the country, leaving their kids with nannies, so they can get the next word in and try to keep themselves relevant in hopes of keeping their celebrity alive. They are nothing but two fame mongers that sold out their children's lives to the highest corporate bidders so they could live a lavish lifestyle off the backs of their children. They have nothing to offer except for ruining their children's lives further and it is pretty damn sad you support that.

Carrie, if your idea of "living a far better life than 95% of children" means having not one, but two parents who are so selfish, egotistical, famewhore, money grubbing losers, you are correct. If you are that shortsighted and simple, to be unaware of what the parents are doing to their children by going on national TV, as well as in every two-bit gossip magazine, and on every trashy, gossip web site and blasting each other as they are divorcing, then you are correct. If you are really that small minded and simple, and convinced that $$$ equates to happy, healthy children - please do yourself and us a favor - don't reproduce!

Kates story is a joke. So here she goes again begging for people to believe her lies so she don't have to really work. Sure she wants the kids to work so she can use the money to run all around doing what she WANTS to do and not home being mama! She makes me sick with all her lies and how she exploits the children. I am sure she will continue to do so in anyway she can. She would even go as low as to try to get a movie deal so she could collect on even more by using the movie to trash her children! Those kids don't have a chance. They are going to be so screwed up and all because their mommie dearest loved money and a certain life style more than she loves her own children and husband. Kate is a money whore and a child user and abuser. Hope she rotts in hell. Done with all the Gosselin's, I just don't care about her or the children anymore because she makes me puke and the kids will be just like her, or worse-if they make it to grow up. Without the nannies they will be sad more of the time I guess. I am sure she fills their minds with lie after lie. Hate than stupid monster kate gosselin! She is nothing but a sack of shit!

I have watched since Season 1, including all re-runs. we have reached the inevitable. I cannot understand why Jon is scrutinzed about the price of his shoes and NO One questions the cost of Kate's clothes, shoes accessories or beauty upkeep. rarely do we read or hear of a $$$ amount on these items. Lest we forget, her plea of unpaid bills, then off to a $170 lunch. Can we see a bias here? You bet your sweet bippy. Let's level the playing field.

I think any child on reality TV is being exploited, and the Gosselin 8 more than most. I wish them the best, but I don't want to see them on TV, nor do I want to see their parents. I don't to tune in to another special interview of Kate who repeats the same lies... I do it for my kids... the pedicures, the cosmetic surgery, the rings.... that's all for the kids?

I wonder if Kates will speak codeish.

Kate, her story - really? Is there more to this story than we've already heard? I do not see how anything she can say would be new. Both Jon & Kate have talked to the media till they are blue in the face. Insider, Entertainment Tonite, Larry King Live (multiple times each) the View, Good Morning America, The Today Show, the list goes on and on and on. Thanks but no thanks. I don't want to know anything more about "her story". Maybe in 15 years or so, when one of her kids decides to publish "Kate, her story" I'll listen then.

This is nothing more than a TLC press release. I'm so fed up with television I'm not even going to turn mine on this Monday. No NBC, no TLC, nothing.

Swampy1 - not "ignorant" when you think about all the groveling to churches this pair did for "love offerings". There are lots of different ways to take money from people - would you prefer the term "grifters" ??

Remenber their church asked them to leave because of all of the demands that Kate was putting on the church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO one was allowed to touch or talk to the children, they leave before anyone else did. The children has to have their own room for childrens prayer.No talking to or contact with the other children on the church at all. What is her problem besides being so rude and bossy?????????????? I guess the church was supposed to pay Kate some money for going to that church

In Kate's mind - she is a "star" - and deserves special treatment for no achievement other than having a clown-car for a uterus. What Kate is going to have a hard time realizing - is that her "fame" is because of her children - nothing she's done or achieved outside of having sextuplets. There's nothing interesting about her - nothing spectacular - nothing in the least bit notable about her other than having sextuplets.

That must be tough for Kate to swallow.

Kate handled herself very well in tonight's interview. She's been through soo much with her husband Jon cheating on her. He broke the commitment. Kate did not fail, her husband Jon did. Natalie Morales wasn't very professional with her questions. In addition, she was smiling during the Jon questions, which I found quite immature. Not a good interview for Natalie (thumbs down). Kate handled it with poise and dignity (thumbs up Kate!).

didn't ask to be a family of 8 and if this story helps some of you see the light that it is hard to raise a child 1 let alone 8 are you kidding me ? What is jons plan on taking care of or supporting them, giving them the basic essentials is hard enough most regular sized familys can't make it financially .The hateful comments that are being thrown at kate are disgusting the fact that"Poor Jon" can go off on his own and can't or won't provide for these precious children is disgusting.. Should kate turn off the camera's and do the jon thing ? Why is it acceptable, to selfishly get a girlfriend or two and ignor his childrens only hope at a education, and meeting their needs, they are getting a once in a lifetime chance at a somewhat amazing future why would any one make such a selfish decision? Okay maybe the camera's are a pain in the neck , how could they not be? Unless Mr.gosslin has a better Idea than Kates as to the meeting these childrens needs he should shut his selfish mouth and do something selfless for his children..He is a theif and a very selfish man ... Did he think without this blessing from god..he or she could neither provide the life every child deserves and rarely get even in the best of marraiges.Obviously people love to see these children grow and thrive ,Please stop thinking how hard it is for you to do this show and think about where you and your 8 children would be if this show didn't air? how the hell are you gonna even meet their basic needs food, medical,etc.be careful what you ask for in life I am sure hinesight is 20/20 Jon if you can provide a future for 8 children and have a better idea,Why haven't any of us heard it?It is very easy to critisize Kate for her role in the media I don't see a alternative and stop feeling sorry for jon! Okay, so here's my take on the whole thing: While I agree that the show should be stopped and Jon and Kate should deal with the ordeal privately, I don't think Kate is all the terrible things most people believe she is. Jon is the one who's gone all "bad-boy" with his "cool" earrings and nasty girlfriend, who he claims is his "soulmate." I mean, really? It's been not even a year since the whole controversy started, and already he's on to bigger and better things. I think he needs to stop partying and start trying to repair the damage he's inflicted on his family.

Disclaimer: I don't think Kate's innocent. She's part of the problem too, just a smaller part.

That family has been very blessed with the opportunities they have been given. Why does Kate hate the paparazzi?? They love publicity, what's her beef? Let the pap go away and Jon and Kate will invent something to get the attention back on them. Right??

I don't understand why this subject bothers YOU so much. You aren't paying Kate. You don't have to watch the show, read her books, go to the book signings or buy the rag mags with her on the cover. I do not believe that she intentionally got pregnant TWICE with multiples. I think she and Jon made the best out of an unusual situation. I don't think the marriage went sour because of the show. They did fine for four years on TV. I hate that Jon is ruining the family's only source of income. I do not think they are bad people. I love the kids and wish them all the best.

How can some of you people be so cruel? Sure they made their life public but really a family is not whole with a father running off in one direction and a mother in tears in the another. Imagine being in the children's possition. They need BOTH parents!! Jon in my opinion did wrong what he did and Kate I think is a good mother just for the fact that she constantly keeps things going and excuse me Jon was no "man of the house" or "head" he didn't know how to take charge he just went with the flow. HE was the one who put this upon him thinking that it would be better to hurt his own wife rather then be patient and try to support and take care of his wife. Our society is becoming so corrupt!! Once something goes wrong in the family divorce is the first thought rather then working it out!! This family should be left alone and Kate's family needs to be there for her, sure she made her mistakes and needed to calm down at times but who could blame her she had 8 little screaming kids and for those of you who only have 2 screaming ones it gives you a big enough headache.

you guys are all idiots and you need to realize kate is a good person and only wants the best for her kids. it is sad that jon wasnt thankful for all that. none of this is her fault she is a great faithful person
