This episode of Big Brother 11 opens with the houseguests commenting that they are not really happy when Jesse returns. They worry that they won't be able to identify with him, and the athletes have already proven their strength in winning the first competition. It will be even harder to win when Jesse's experience and additional strength is added to their clique.
Kevin is thinking that he won't be able to find common ground. Chima says that the athletes are already strong and Jesse just puts the nail in the coffin. Russell thinks that they will make a formidable team. Natalie thinks that it is an advantage to have his experience and strength in the house. Ronnie thinks that he will be good for workouts and he feels he knows his strengths and weaknesses and can outthink him because of last year. Lydia tries to find some common ground and calls him epic in size. Russell feels she is kissing up. Ronnie quickly tries to form an alliance between the brains and athletes and after talking to his group, he goes to him. Jeff is approached by Jesse and Jeff says that it is very early to form such an alliance. Jesse asks him to have his back and Jeff deflects it saying that the nominations are not going to be on his back. Jesse shows off his Head of Household room and they all admire the waterfall. Jesse reminds them that it is a burdon because there are reprocussions and while you are up there, everyone is downstairs talking about you behind your back. Ronnie says that this high school clique is not a good thing for him as he always played video games and didn't fit with the popular kids. Michelle says that she didn't fit in at all. Jordan says that she didn't make people feel bad in high school. Ronnie says that this is an amazing opportunity to show that people are different on the inside. Ronnie says that the Brains aren't in power and it is revenge of the nerds all over again. Ronnie goes right up to the HOH and offers his allegience. Ronnie says that he didn't hang out with the jocks in high school but this is an opportunity. He feels no one will suspect their alliance. He refers to the jocks in Star Wars terms and says that the brains and jocks will take the house by storm. Kevin and Lydia discuss how Kevin is going to relate to Jesse and Lydia says that perhaps it would work to discuss how you are a person of substance that is more than the exterior. Lydia says that she is not going to judge Jesse on his exterior and she is going to get to know him as a person. Russell and Jesse bond immediately and Jesse explains how people are going to come to him insincere. Jesse feels that he and Russell are of a like mind in their attitudes towards life and to the game. Jesse tells him that he can make a better call because people won't be honest with him. Russell is equally bonded to Jesse for similar reasons. Laura says that she thinks that Jesse is the hottest guy in the house, and Natalie says Kevin. Natalie is flirting with Jesse. Jesse says he is going to bask in all his glory when he wins at chess after Natalie. They have fun as Jesse declares himself chess champ, and Natalie vows to get him. Jesse sees a lot of his attributes in Natalie because she is straight up and tells it like it is, and doesn't care if others like her. She joins up with Natalie to discuss nominations. Natalie says that no one sees Ronnie as a threat, so she feels they should go along with the brains. Chima comes on board after Ronnie convinces her that it would be a good move for both of them. Ronnie feels that there should be a strategy between the Brains and the Athletes. Natalie asks Ronnie to be a pawn and going up would hide that they are an alliance. Ronnie suggests Michelle, but Chima is also in the picture. Ronnie says that the pawn goes home first, so no way would he want that position.
Big Brother 11 nomination day is nearing and Natalie tells that they already know that a brain is going up as a pawn and they decide that they have to pick the one to go home. Russell, Jesse, and Natalie decide that Lydia is playing the game and Laura isn't. Natalie is suggesting that Lydia is playing the game and it might be good to get her out. Russell and Natalie are pushing one way, but Jesse thinks that it is what is best for Jesse and he decides to put Lydia up. Jesse feels that his nominations will show who is loyal and who is not. He calls the nomination ceremony to order and brings in the key box. Jesse explains the key ceremony. He pulls out the athletes keys since they are safe. He pulls out Michelle's key. Michelle pulls out Braden's key. Braden pulls out Kevin's key. Kevin pulls out Ronnie's key. Ronnie pulls out Jordan's key. Jordan pulls out Laura's key. Laura pulls out the final key, Casey's. Jesse says that he nominated Chima and Lydia and says that he respects them as competitors and as game players and says that there is little to go on. Chima says she is up as a pawn, but pawns tend to go home. Ronnie is so glad that he is not the pawn. Lydia says she doesn't deserve to go out and will fight to stay as she wipes away a tear. Jesse says I am your friend, knife you in the back. Casey hugs Lydia. Russell walks alone through the house as Chima cries over her nomination. Next episode of Big Brother 11: Veto Competition and Power of Veto Ceremony, on Tuesday at 9 PM edt.
