Random Acts is probably one of the most touching, amazing shows on the air today. Hosted by Will Rubio, Emilie Starr, Lisa Valentine Clark and Stephen Jones, the show explores  different acts of kindness taking place throughout the country.

In a recent interview, Lisa talked about the show, which is currently airing on BYUtv. She explained that the concept of the show is to reward random acts of kindness. People nominate deserving folks and help make their lives better. She adds that they get a ton of nominations throughout the season, so it is hard for the editors to choose what to use. (She is glad it isn’t her job to choose because she would never be able to make it happen!) She hopes that people watching remember that there are good people everywhere and that it doesn’t take a lot to change people’s lives. She also hopes that people see this and look at the positive in life, especially in the world we live in today.

So what is Lisa’s favorite story to date? While she had a a hard time choosing just one, she says one that stood out had to do with one special little girl. This girl was in a wheelchair and dreamed of becoming a dancer. Ballet West heard about this and helped make this happen. They bought out all the stops in order to make this little girl’s dancing dream come true, despite the fact that she was in a wheelchair. I won’t spoil the episode for my readers, but I will warn you to have your tissues ready!

Random Acts reminds us that there is still good in the world. Seeing people like Lisa bring this to light makes the world a little brighter and people love a bit more. Thank you to her and her co-hosts for reminding us of this lesson.
