Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I am 9 years old and I have a little brother called Rajan and he is 6 years old. I am on season 5 of MasterChef Junior and I am having so much fun on the show.  I am in 4th grade and my favorite subject is science.

What made you decide to be on MasterChef Junior?
I enjoy cooking and being creative.  MCJ was doing a casting call at a hotel near our house so we decided to go check it out.  I never thought I would come this far, but I'm sure glad I did!

What has been your favorite part of being on the show so far?
The best parts have been making a ton of new friends who all share a common interest in cooking.  I also learned a ton from the other junior chefs and the judges. Being in LA for several months shooting the show and getting to have so many amazing experiences was definitely the best thing I've done ever. I still keep in touch with many of the other contestants and know these will be friendships that last a lifetime. Everyone was always so suppportive of each other.

What have you learned from the judges?
To not be afraid of making mistakes.  Sometimes when you take chances and try new things, you can create something different and amazing.

You had some very cool guests and judges. Who was your favorite and what was it like to meet/cook for them?
Of course I love Gordon Ramsay. He's really nice and caring in real life, and always challenged us to do our best.  Meeting Christina Tosi was also a dream come true because I want to follow in her footsteps and be a pastry chef. Richard Blais was a great guest judge.  He's really funny, while serious at the same time.  I got to eat at his restaurant Juniper and Ivy in San Diego and it was delicious!

What is one thing you want to learn how to cook?
I haven't done much with puff pastry and I'd really like to master that.  I love the texture and there's so much you can do with it.

What is your signature dish?
Thai coconut curry.  I love the spiciness and freshness of Thai food given the chilis and herbs they use. I also love cupcakes!

What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to dance - I take ballet and jazz dance.  I also like to spend time with my friends and my little brother.  I like traveling to different places with my family.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
A pastry chef.  I'd like to own a bakery called Avani's Sweet Treats.

What are your plans after the show is over?
I'd like to start a YouTube channel that's a bit different.  Stay tuned!

What is a fun fact about you?
Junior Chef Adam and I have the same birthday!  And Shayne the Train and I have a mutual teacher in common.  Small world! Im also a huge Chicago Blackhwaks fan!

What are you watching on TV these days?
Great British Baking Show.  And I like watching Diners, Driveins and Dives.  I also watch Rosanna Pansino videos on YouTube.

Anything else you want to tell America?
Thank you for watching me and rooting me on this season.  It's been a dream come true and an adventure of a lifetime.
