In 1993 as a ten-year-old I recorded a cover of Amy Grant's Christmas classic "Grown Up Christmas List" written by Amy, David Foster & Lynda Thompson-Jenner.

At the time my uncle Chaz Corzine was Amy's manager as part of a collective Blanton, Harrell, Cooke & Corzine who managed Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith. Chaz remains Michael W. Smith's manager and Jennifer Cooke remains Amy's.

Amy heard my recording and wrote the attached letter in Dec 1993, which I shared in my 3rd grade "show and tell."

I recently found the cassette recording and put together this video montage, a tribute to my family who went through a divorce in 1994, and why this song struck a chord for me as a ten-year-old.

During a TED Talk I gave in Aug 2013 I noted that "when I grew up, I wanted to be Amy Grant."  Amy made a very big impact on my life both as a family friend and a performer who inspired my dreams as a singer.

Once again I'll be sharing this with Amy Grant this year, but I would absolutely LOVE your support if you too would share with your audiences this holiday season, should you feel so inclined!

For some of you who have followed my story, I live in Nashville, a former cast member on MTV's The Real World and a singer/songwriter. I recently co-wrote a tribute song  to my dear friend and castmate Diem Brown who lost her battle to cancer: "Beautiful Girls (Diem's Song)."

So lastly, a HUGE thank you for taking the time to read my email over the holidays - now go get back to your families and loved ones!
