HOW THEY’D LIVE NOW

VIA TRULIA:

With all the recent news on ‘90s TV reunions, leading real estate site Trulia is adding to the fun by pulling data that shows which neighborhoods and places our favorite Full House and Friends characters might be living in today.

Full House

The famed Full House home at 1709 Broderick Street in the San Francisco neighborhood of Western Addition sold for $2,865,000 in 2013. Based on Trulia’s calculations if Danny, Joey and Jesse had been able to put 20 percent down and secure a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage rate at 4.1 percent, they still would have a monthly mortgage payment of $14,179. Sadly, even with Danny’s promotion to host of “Wake Up San Francisco” this is way out of reach.

Estimated Average Annual Salaries:

·         Danny Tanner, Host of “Wake Up San Francisco”: $158,589

·         Joey Gladstone, Stand-up Comedian: $30,000

·         Jesse Katsopolis, Rock musician: $48,000

Trulia Affordability Calculation:

·         Together, Danny, Joey and Jesse can afford a home of up to $1.23 million

·         A monthly mortgage of up to $6,111.88

·         Recommended neighborhood: Sunset neigborhoods

·         Other areas to consider: Oakland, Castro Valley, San Rafael, Marin City

Suggested Trulia Listings:

·         Inner Sunset: 4 bedroom, 3 bath

While a condo could be considered a bit of a step down from the family’s original home, it is well within budget at $799,000 and allows them to stay in the city. The space offers 2,013 square feet with panoramic roof deck views, perfect for impromptu concerts or stand-up acts. It’s even shown on a familiar feeling sloping street!

·         Central Sunset: 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom

This single-family home is a bit on the pricey side at $1,079,000, but it’s in a great neighborhood with well rated schools and very low crime. With only four bedrooms, it looks like Joey may still be living in the garage.

·         Oakland: 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom

The Upper Rockridge home is listed at $890,000 and comes with enough bedrooms that no one will be relegated to the garage or attic. With more than 2,000 square feet the home includes a spacious lay out, is GreenPoint Rated and has smart devices for home automation.

Much has been written about Monica Gellar and Rachel Green’s unrealistic New York City apartment. While it is hard to say exactly how much the place would be worth today, Trulia’s research shows the median cost for a two bedroom, one bath apartment in the West Village is $5,100 per month. That’s pretty steep even for an executive chef and fashion coordinator.

Estimated Average Annual Salaries:

·         Monica Gellar, Executive Chef: $82,834

·         Rachel Green, Fashion Coordinator: $57,000

Trulia Affordability Calculation:

·         Monica and Rachel could afford an apartment of up to $3,600 per month

·         Recommended neighborhood: West Village, if they seriously reeled in their expectations

·         Other areas to consider: Harlem, Astoria

Suggested Trulia Listings:

·         West Village: 2 bedroom, 1 bath

At $3,600 per month, the apartment features hardwood floors, exposed brick accents and a sizable kitchen area for Monica. There’s even a private roof terrace just like the girl’s old apartment!

·         Harlem: 2 bedroom, 2 bath

This luxury apartment comes in at $2,990 per month and offers wide open spaces, perfect for neighbors who are known to drop by. And Rachel will fall in love with the master bedroom and closet, perfect for all those visits to Bloomingdale’s.
