Senator John McCain Dead at 81

Sad news for the world tonight. Senator and former Presidential nominee John McCain has died. He was 81 years old.

The war hero and politician had been battling brain cancer and announced only yesterday that he was discontinuing treatment.

McCain served six terms as Arizona’s senator and went on to become the 2008 Republican Presidential nominee against Barack Obama.

He was also a Vietnam vet and former POW, a true American hero.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, seven children and five grandchildren.
