AMERICA’S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR JULY 19, 2016
Hello, and welcome to America’s Got Talent on NBC. It is night 3 of the judges’ cuts and George Lopez will be joining Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell and Mel B. at the judges’ table.
First up is Carrie the dog and her owner Luis. They do some Latin dances that can quite honestly put some DWTS routines to shame. I love it! Heidi and Mel B. aren’t too sure, but the guys all enjoy it and want to see more.
Daniel Joyner sings Feeling Good, which is much different than his audition. He seems to have grown up in those short few months and I agree with Simon, he is special.
After a montage of questionable acts, we get to magician Blake Vogt. He takes a $100 and $1 bill and has the judges initial them. He has them tear the bills, which then eats and spits out whole, untorn and reversed. I have no clue how that happened, but it is awesome.
We then get to a mother/son dance team that is actually quite adorable. Their rhythm is spot on and they just seem to be having a ball out there.
Next up is a couple who does some Latin dance to Ricky Martin. It gets buzzed by Heidi, but the guys seem to like it.
After a kid fencer, we get to Tape Face. I have no clue what to make of this act, especially when he pulls Howie on stage.
Good Girl, the singing group that seems to want to channel the Spice Girls perform next. They aren’t quite as good this time, but still have the spirit that got them this far.
Cue singing montage…which lead us to Madison Watkins. She is phenomenal. WOW….I’ll be shocked if she doesn’t make it through.
Malevo is up next. They are a dance troupe that also play music. They are pretty cool and something I’d actually go and see next time I am in Vegas. I don’t even know where tools because they are so good and there is so much going on. They are SO good that George Lopez gives them the Golden Buzzer. There are hugs and cheers all around.
We then get to some danger act that fails to have any….danger. I don’t know what to make of any of this.
After a knife swallowing act, we get to homeschool kid Ryan who fails to deliver in his original performance about getting people’s phone numbers.
Comedian Sam makes jokes about Republicans and penises. It is dirty, funny and raunchy….but oh so good!
Brian Justin Crum sings a song by Radiohead and has everyone captivated. I have chills listening to him….holy crap…..the judges cant stop talking about how much they love him and his voice. He is one we are going to have to watch!
Acts Who Make It Through:
Alla and Daniel
Daniel the singer
Ryan and AmberLynn
Blake the magician
Brian the singer.
As an aside, Mel B. was SO SWEET to that little boy who got cut. I always liked her, but this made me love her even more.
Poor Madison is sad, but handles her elimination with class and dignity.
Join us tomorrow for more acts and Louis from One Direction as a guest judge!
