AMERICA’S GOT TALENT
RECAP FOR JUNE 21, 2016
Hello, and welcome to America’s Got Talent on NBC. Tonight, we continue with the auditions and see if Simon will finally use his golden buzzer.
First up is a husband and wife danger act that completely scares me s**tless. It is amazing to watch, but scary as all hell. The judges are in love and send them to the next round.
Elias and Zion are twin boys do a musical number that is quite interesting coming from nine year olds. They make it to the next round.
Cue a montage of kid acts…most of them are incredible and have more talent in their pinky toe that I have….at all.
An act that does a dramatic Tears For Fears cover makes it through as well. They are my favorite of the night so far.
Jayna Brown is a 14-year-old whose voice raises the bar for the rest of the singers in the competition. WOW…that is more talent than I can comprehend, she is just that good. She is off to the next round.
Next up, we have what seems to be a magic at where the female changes clothes throughout the entire routine. It is very entertaining and cute. I love the outfits, the energy and fun. They move to the next round.
After a montage of rejected acts, we get to Philadelphia Eagle Jon Dorenbos. He does a card trick with the judges. I have no idea how to explain it, but it is incredible to watch. Even Simon is left speechless. He is on to the next round.
Hello Vaher is up next with a contortionist act. I don’t even know how people can move like that…I am in pain just watching. WOW! He, of course, makes it through.
After a montage of music acts, we get to Ronnie. She has a beautiful voice, but Simon doesn’t think the initial song is right for her. He has her try something else and she knocks it out of the park. She is like the second coming of Whitney Houston….damn, girl! she is sent to the next round.
Another montage….and then we get to Mika. It is a weird act that gets put through to the next round, but it completely baffles me.
Next up is a comedian named Julia Scotti who reminds me of Grandma Lee from a few seasons ago. Love her! She was previously known as Rick Scotti. Everyone loves her and send her to the next round.
The next act is stage 3 ovarian cancer survivor Calysta. She has a pure, beautiful voice that brings me to tears. It is such a moving moment….similar to when Susan Boyle took the stage several years ago. Ok, who ISN’T crying?
SIMON GIVES HER THE GOLDEN BUZZER!!! HE RUSHES TO GIVE HER A HUG…and then hugs her mom.
More next week! Stay tuned!
