WELCOME CRIS JUDD!
Los Angeles, CA (December 4, 2014) – “America’s Got Talent,” announced today that Hollywood choreographer Cris Judd has been tapped to serve as the official Dance Scout for season 10 and will be working with producers to seek out the best dancers in America.
“I’m so excited to be a part of season 10 of ‘America’s Got Talent,” said Judd. “My goal is to offer hesitant contestants confidence and alleviate their fear of auditioning because they don’t think that they have it. From the little dance schools, to finding the diamond in the rough, there are so many talented dancers in America and I’m confident we will find the best of the best.”
“Having Cris join our team is very exciting for season ten of AGT because we will be able to have a true expert in the dance field help us zero in on potential acts,” said Executive Producer Sam Donnelly. “Season 10 is going to be a memorable one and we are thrilled at the possibility of the potential dancers that we will be meeting along the way.”
Judd is familiar with the “Got Talent” format, having recently served as a judge on “New Zealand’s Got Talent.” He has also worked as a choreographer for past episodes of “America’s Got Talent.”
Judd is best known as a former dancer for Michael Jackson, dancing with him on his Dangerous and HIStory world tours. In 1999, Judd performed at the Billboard Music Awards with Celine Dion, as well as the MTV Music Awards with N’SYNC. In 2000, Judd was a featured dancer at the American Music Awards, performing with Enrique Iglesias and Brian McKnight. He also performed at the 69th Annual Academy Awards during the presentation of "Best Song" nominee, “That Thing You Do.” In addition, Judd has also appeared in music videos including, “My Way,” for Usher, “Jump, Jive, & Wail,” for the Brian Setzer Orchestra, “If I Could Go” for Angie Martinez, and “Tango,” for Julio Iglesias.
During this time, Judd’s career exploded and he joined tours for both Jordan Knight and Jane’s Addiction as the co-choreographer with Eddie Garcia, along with choreographing the music videos, “Ain’t It Funny,” and “I’m Real,” for Jennifer Lopez. He also directed the music video, “Ain't It Funny-Remix,” with Ja Rule and served as the creative director and choreographer for Jennifer Lopez's NBC concert special, “Let’s Get Loud.”
In addition to choreography and dance, Judd has given back to the community by sharing his experiences with students across the country at The PULSE on Tour, an intensive dance seminar featuring the top choreographers in entertainment.

For the first time in the show’s history, America chose a magician as their favorite act - season 9 winner Mat Franco, who recently headlined the “America’s Got Talent Live” stage show in Las Vegas.
Providing a completely open playing field, “America’s Got Talent” is the only show where acts of any age and any talent can compete in front of a nationwide audience.
“America’s Got Talent” is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Syco Entertainment. Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace are the executive producers.
